Delphi Supplier Toolkit Installation Guide for NX 9.0 Toolkit Programs ############################################################################ REQUIREMENTS: This Toolkit contains and supports program executables for: Windows 7 ( 64bit machines ) Since these programs are linked with NX 9.0, additional detailed Hardware and Operating System versions may be obtained from the NX version NX 9.0 release notes. The Programs within this toolkit are "User Function" programs that execute with NX 9.0 or later. It is required to have a: NX Knowledge Fusion Sharing License #UG10683 The licenses are obtained through Siemens PLM Software ############################################################################ INSTALLATION: The dphtk9.0.0.d.zip file when unziped will create several directories to place the programs and supporting documentation. The Delphi Toolkit standard directory structure for these directories and programs is "C:\Program Files\dphtk9.0". The zip file creates a common dphtk9.0 directory to compensate for varying directory structures amoung Supplier sites. The toolkit will require approximately 70 MB of disk space. When you unzip the zip file the following methods will create the appropriate directories. open with WinZip extract to C:\Program Files\ the zip file will create the requried dphtk9.0 directory and sub dirs README: There will be a copy of 'dphtk9.0.readme.txt' under C:\Program Files\dphtk9.0 ############################################################################ CONFIGURATION INFORMATION: start_dsl.vbs This program operates on Windows 7 64 bit machines with NX 9.0. This file is a NX startup script that should be used or incorporated to start NX 9.0. This script sets all required program environment variables for the toolkit programs. Do NOT relocate this script to another directory! The script establishes variables based its location. There are numerous methods of calling this startup script for NX such as creating a script that simply gives the full path name to execute this script, source this script at the end of your own site specific startup script, modify the CDE panel on your workstations to execute this script directly, etc... dsl_configure.vbs Run this script to set the following environment variables, if needed: UGII_BASE_DIR SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE UGII_HTML_BROWSER ############################################################################ TEST INSTALLATION: 1. From a command window execute the start_dsl.vbs script. You may need to type in the full path name from your home directory. Example: C:\Program Files\dphtk9.0\start_dsl.vbs 2. If the toolkit was successfully installed, a menu dialog box should should appear, titled "9.0.0.d DST - NX DSL Menu" containing several applications and a division selection defaulted to "Delphi Corporate". 3. If you have installed other Delphi division packages, select the appropriate division. 4. Select the "NX" entry in the application list and press the "Apply" button to start NX. You can also double-click on "NX". 5. Once in NX, create a new part file. The default units should be millimeters. 6. Go to Drafting application. The insert sheet dialog should be a customized version with a Delphi logo. Choose a border and drawing size and press OK. A Delphi drawing format should be added on the new drawing sheet when it is created.
